Chicken Cottage Celebrates Landmark Saudi Arabia Launch with First Restaurant Opening in Medina

Chicken Cottage, one of the UK’s leading halal quick-service restaurant brands, has proudly announced the successful opening of its first restaurant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion strategy.

Located in the vibrant Al Iskan District of Medina, the new restaurant opened its doors last month and represents the first step in Chicken Cottage’s ambitious growth plans across the Kingdom. The launch has been made possible through a strategic partnership with Tijan Al Madina, Chicken Cottage’s Master Franchisee for Saudi Arabia.

The opening introduces Chicken Cottage’s renowned menu of freshly prepared fried chicken, grilled chicken, burgers, wraps, rice boxes and family meals to one of the Middle East’s most dynamic and rapidly growing foodservice markets.

Saudi Arabia continues to present significant opportunities for international restaurant brands, driven by a young population, increasing consumer spending, a strong dining-out culture and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 economic diversification programme. Medina, one of Islam’s holiest cities, attracts millions of residents and visitors each year, making it an ideal location for Chicken Cottage’s entry into the market.

Sadaf Kazi, Head of Franchise Development at Chicken Cottage, commented:

“The opening of our first restaurant in Saudi Arabia is a proud moment for the entire Chicken Cottage family. Saudi Arabia has long been a strategic market for our international growth ambitions, and we are delighted to begin this journey in the historic city of Medina.

Working alongside our Master Franchise partners, Tijan Al Madina, we have found a team that shares our vision, values and commitment to operational excellence. The response from the local community has been incredibly encouraging, and we look forward to bringing the Chicken Cottage brand to many more locations across the Kingdom in the years ahead.”

Hassan Raza Director Tijan Al Madina added:

“We are proud to introduce Chicken Cottage to Saudi Arabia and to launch the brand’s first restaurant in Medina. Chicken Cottage’s strong halal heritage, quality-focused menu and proven international business model make it an excellent fit for the Saudi market. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and are committed to building a successful long-term presence for the brand throughout the Kingdom.”

The Medina opening forms part of Chicken Cottage’s wider international expansion programme, which continues to focus on partnering with experienced franchise operators in key growth markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

With over three decades of experience and a growing international footprint, Chicken Cottage remains committed to delivering high-quality halal food, exceptional customer experiences and sustainable franchise growth worldwide.
